A Civil Ceremony in Gretna Green

A Civil Wedding Ceremony can be performed by a Registrar at Anvil Hall, Gretna - these are the steps that you need to take to book such a Ceremony:

1. Choose the date and time for your marriage, the registrars perform weddings Monday to Sundays.
2. If you wish to be married at Anvil Hall, contact us in one of two ways: by email or by telephone: 01461 337971
3. We will contact you with available dates and times.
4. We hold the date and time of your choice for 2 Weeks in which time you send us a cheque for £495 or telephone 01461 337971 with your credit card details. This payment is for The Anvil Hall Wedding Venue and Witnesses as required.

   All major credit cards - accepted, call us on 01461 337971 to book your wedding by phone.
5. The fee for a Civil Ceremony performed by a Registrar at Anvil Hall, Gretna:
   
   - Monday to Friday, £170.00
   - Saturday, £246.00
   - Bank Holidays, £285.00
   
   We contact the registrar to perform the ceremony. You will receive information regarding this payment and the legal requirements in due course.
6. To print off the marriage notice forms M10 and get help on how to complete them click here to visit: www.gro-scotland.gov.uk and then click on 'Getting Married in Scotland'.
7. The two Marriage Notice Forms can be submitted up to 3 months and no later than 15 days before the wedding.

PLEASE NOTE: Gretna Registration Office is closed from 25 to 28 December and 1 to 4 January.
