Anvil Hall, built in 1917, is a unique buildingWeddings have been performed here in Gretna Green for 250 years - we have not been here that long! But we are wedding professionals who have a wealth of knowledge and experience to make your time here just perfect.

Dating back to the turn of the century, Anvil Hall has been the backdrop to countless thousands of Gretna weddings, and this historic building, sitting in the heart of the township, has become one of the country’s most popular venues.

• All weddings are by candlelight, creating a warm and romantic atmostphere.
• All weddings are one and a half hours apart allowing you and your guests plenty of time to savor this magnificent building.
• Weddings take place at 9am, 10-30pm, 12pm, 1-30pm, 3pm, 4-30pm and 6pm - we DO NOT rush wedding parties out of Anvil Hall to allow the next party to enter.
• Our weddings are totally private. We do not have a gift shop or adjoining hotel and the venue is not accessible to the many tourists that visit the area.
• We have a live webcam for family and friends that cant make your wedding - if you want your wedding for just you and your guests we simply switch it off.
